This policy covers two things run by Imagination Innovations: the Portfolio Tracker app at https://portfolio-app.imagination-innovations.com/, and this website, with its guides. They are hosted separately and handle information very differently.

The Portfolio Tracker app

Your portfolio stays on your device

Everything you enter — accounts, holdings, transactions, notes and settings — is stored in your browser's local storage on your device. There is no Portfolio Tracker account and no server that receives or stores your portfolio. We cannot see it, and we cannot recover it if you clear your browser data, so keep backups with Settings → Data → Backup.

Market-data providers

To show prices, the app sends requests directly from your browser to the providers you connect — Finnhub and Alpha Vantage. Each request contains a ticker symbol and your API key. It never includes your quantities, costs or transactions. Those providers receive your IP address as part of the request, and their own privacy policies apply.

Your API keys

Keys you enter are stored only in your browser and sent only to the provider each one belongs to. They are left out of portfolio backups and auto-save files.

Files the app loads

When the app opens, your browser downloads its charting libraries from jsDelivr and its fonts from Google Fonts. Like any website, those services receive your IP address and browser details when they send the files. No portfolio information is included.

No ads, analytics or tracking in the app

The app shows no ads, and no analytics or tracking runs in it. The app's security settings block any such script from loading.

This website

Advertising

This website is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure their performance, and — where you allow it — personalise them based on your visits to this and other sites. How Google uses information from sites that use its services explains this in detail.

• You can manage or turn off personalised ads in Google's My Ad Center.
• If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you'll be asked for your consent before any personalised advertising.

Ads appear only on this website, never inside the Portfolio Tracker app. The two are on separate web addresses, so ad code on this site has no access to anything stored by the app.

Hosting

This website and the app are hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect against abuse, Cloudflare processes standard request information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested.

Visitor statistics

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure how quickly pages load. It does not use cookies and does not build a profile of you across sites. Apart from this and the advertising described above, we run no analytics or tracking.

Children

Portfolio Tracker and this website are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change how either service handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
